Fishing at Lake Bochra

A leisurely walk leads from the Small Hotel Ortner through lush green meadows to the idyllic fishpond, where rainbow trout, char and carp cavort. Fishing is allowed without a fishing licence and there is even a fly fishing area. While you are so busy fishing that you forget all the hustle and bustle, all you have to do is sit back and listen to the sound of the water. Fishing equipment is available at the rental station at Lake Bochra!

Stumm bathing world
Only a few metres away from the Small Hotel Ortner, the Stumm bathing world invites you to a sparkling relaxation in the water and on the wonderful sunbathing lawn. While ambitious swimmers take their laps in the large sports pool, attractions such as the 62 m water slide, the Trio Slide , the current channel and a spacious children's pool promise lots of water fun. The natural bathing pond with jumping facility, the beach volleyball court and the basketball and football court are undoubtedly another highlight in the Stumm bathing world.
Adventure pond Aufenfeld
The 5.000 m² large natural swimming lake belongs to the unique leisure park in the Comfort Camping Aufenfeld in Aschau, where also a covered skate park, two beach volleyball courts, a street ball and basketball court, two children's playgrounds, a large trampoline and a western fort with riding possibility are waiting for the guests. Idyllically situated on a sunny hillside at the edge of the forest, the lake impresses above all with its excellent water quality, the sunbathing lawn and the well-kept facility with romantic wooden footbridges.

A multitude of idyllic valley hiking trails open up around your accommodation. In the Zillertal about 1,400 km of well signposted hiking trails lead through fragrant coniferous forests and lush alpine pastures up to the high mountains. Our senior chef Franz Ortner is not only a passionate mountaineer, but also a certified hiking guide. Off the beaten track, Franz shows you his favourite places in the mountains and teaches you to see nature with different eyes.
Family paradise Spieljoch - gondola to the peaks
At the Spieljoch adventure mountain, attractions such as the Bambini Water Park, the Summit Barefoot Path, the Relax and Balance Park Speichersee, the children's mine "Kristall-Mine", the spectacular Flying Fox, the climbing park, via ferrata and skill rope garden, the Nepal bridge on the large reservoir, the Öxeltal show mine and child and youth care, also off the hiking trails, ensure unforgettable adventures with the whole family.
The Wedelhütte - power place between pleasure & summit victory
The Wedelhütte, run by your hosts, is situated in a picturesque location at 2,350 m and attracts mountaineers, hikers and connoisseurs to stop for a refreshing break. This very special resting place radiates at the same time traditional charm and exclusive atmosphere and invites with its cosy parlours and wonderful sun terraces to feast, dream and linger. After a short ascent from the reservoir, the Wedelhütte can be easily reached via the Zillertaler Höhenstraße. From the enchanting hut it is also not far to the peaks of the two local mountains Marchkopf and Wimbachkopf and the Stoamandlweg leads to the Kristallhütte in just 1.5 hrs walking time. Whether you visit us on a leisurely alpine hike or on a day trip into the high mountains - at the Wedelhütte you will definitely get a little closer to heaven!
